We have successfully returned from our Spring mission that took place during the month of May. We were able to coordinate a joint trip between Bridgeway Christian Church and Center of Praise. This was our first mission trip back to Uganda since the Summer of 2019.
The teams spent the first part of the mission working together to conduct a church conference and crusade near one of our schools located in the community of Gomba. After a couple days the Bridgeway team traveled to Toggo (where our other schools are located) while the COP team ran a VBS at our Gomba school.

Center of Praise is looking to focus their investment raising support and building up our Gomba school. They spent several days investing their time at the school learning about the needs of the teachers and students.

Bridgeway focused their efforts on conducting a discipleship class for the high school students. This is the second discipleship course our team has taught at Toggo High. The theme for this year’s discipleship class was the life of Jesus.

Later in the week, COP traveled to Toggo and began working with the Bridgeway team. They were able to put on a Pastor’s conference for over 100 pastors in the area. The heart of the conference was to encourage local pastors to seek unity with one another by “locking arms” as we are taught in the book of Nehemiah.

Our team also held VBS for our elementary students in Toggo. This was an incredibly fun time spent with our kids playing games, teaching Bible stories, and memorizing Scripture.

At the end of the trip both teams were able to take a 2 day safari to Murchison Falls in northern Uganda. In addition to working and sharing the gospel, it was great to be able to take a little time to appreciate the beauty of Uganda before returning home.
