At the beginning of 2020, I planned on going back to Uganda in the summertime. Then the coronavirus hit, and it seemed most of the year would be characterized by all the things we couldn’t do. Though I know for many the pandemic has dealt them a crushing blow, for our family we will look back on the early part of the quarantine with fond memories of spending lots of time together as a family. Together we struggled to settle into the realization of all the things we wouldn’t be able to do this year. Going back to Uganda was one of them.
By God’s grace, here we are in November and I’m writing this from a plane bound for Uganda. I’m so very shocked and grateful for the doors God has opened to allow for this opportunity. This blog is an attempt to log as much of my journey and to celebrate what God is doing this year in Uganda despite the hardships so many have faced.
